Here is how to plan a restroom operation that keeps lines short and complaints minimal.
For a single-day festival, plan on one standard unit per 75–100 attendees at peak — a lower ratio than typical events because festival attendees stay longer and use restrooms more often. For a two-day festival, use per-day peak attendance, not aggregate. For camping festivals, add capacity for overnight base camp use, roughly one unit per 25 campers.
Rather than concentrating units in one large bank, split them across the venue: main-stage area, food court, camping zone, VIP area, and near vendor row. Each bank should have at least three units and a handwashing station. Small, distributed banks reduce lines and walking distances.
